The success of our work relies heavily on community involvement. We have several volunteer programs and events year-round that serve as a great way to learn, network, and most important, protect our precious waterways in LA County. Learn more about different ways that you can help in our fight for clean water below and be sure to check out our calendar for upcoming volunteer opportunities and events.
We believe that everyone has a right to clean and healthy water, and we rely on people like you to help make it happen. Our dedicated volunteers play a major role in work that we do, and we have a variety of unique opportunities and activities throughout L.A. County. Our volunteer opportunities include MPA Watch, Watershed Programs, our Dive Program, and Beach Cleanups.
Our events are a great way to meet new people, have fun and show your support for our mission to protect and restore LA’s waterways. We have 3 signature events each year, in addition to smaller events surrounding particular campaigns. Our annual fundraiser “Making Waves” is a celebration of our work and an opportunity to honor the people who dedicate themselves to LA Waterkeeper, “SPLASH” is our Stand-Up Paddle Race, and “Coastal Cleanup Day” is our beach cleanup held at Dockweiler Beach.
Our Corporate Sponsorship Program demonstrates your organization’s commitment to clean water and healthy communities, a thriving local economy and access to safe beaches and waterways throughout L.A. County. The program offers exposure and brand promotion for your company to our organization’s community and beyond, as well as additional options for team building and employee engagement.
