Community Water Watch

We sample industrial run-off during rainstorms to understand point sources of pollution to our communities and waterways. We hold two trainings each rainy season and collect scientifically-defensible samples of stormwater that is running onto our streets and into our waterways, preparing it for a detailed lab analysis. We then share the findings with our volunteers and partners. The sampling results help us, our partners, and volunteers to understand the state of our waterways and its connection to public health. You must attend a CWW training prior to joining for fieldwork. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. This program runs from October through April.

Please reach out to melissavm@lawaterkeeper.org if you’re interested in joining as a Community Water Watch volunteer.
