September RAFT Field Day SELA

LA Waterkeeper's River Assessment Field Team (RAFT) is back! 

Join LA Waterkeeper staff as we explore a segment of the LA River! Practice your community science skills as we learn more about the LA River! Together we'll measure different bioindicators of the rivers health, identify native plants, and observe different wildlife. 

Volunteers will learn about LA River's history and current challenges, as well as use field kits to determine the river's health and biodiversity.

 Join us as we explore two different locations in the SouthEast LA portion of the LA River: Hollydale Regional Park and Maywood Riverfront Park. 

*Volunteers are required to provide their own transportation between field sites*
