Litigation = Impact

Highlighting 30 YEARS of LA Waterkeeper's legal impact in the Los Angeles region
May 12, 2022

For nearly three decades, LA Waterkeeper has fought to protect our waterways, hold local polluters accountable, and create a more sustainable and resilient Los Angeles County. Despite being up against powerful interests with more money and political power, LA Waterkeeper has achieved precedent-setting victories that have led LA County toward a cleaner and more secure water future.

While no one likes to go to court, a lawsuit is often the only way to get polluters and regulators to do the right thing. We’re proud of our history as a fearless water watchdog willing to hold polluters and government agencies accountable through litigation.
