Audrey Siu
Audrey is the Urban Resilience Director for LA Waterkeeper. She brings experience across government, non-profit, and private industry sectors to this role. Her professional career began with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a regulatory specialist where she executed on major federal acts, including the Clean Water and National Environmental Policy Acts - working with project proponents to avoid and minimize resources in the public trust. She has also worked as an environmental consultant on projects for private development and public works, leading contamination due-diligence, environmental impact mitigation, and helping clients navigate complex regulatory environs. Most recently, she ran the policy team at Miami Waterkeeper, where she steered her team to hold polluters accountable and advocate for policy protections for our most precious resource, water.
Ms. Siu translates her previous government, non-profit, and private sector experience to her work. She holds that advocating for watershed-wide improvements and resilience involves an intersection of issues, including infrastructure upgrades; incorporating nature-based solutions into urban areas; creating meaningful and enforceable policy changes; and instigating broad public involvement and buy-in for resilient and equitable solutions.
After work, you can find her scouring local farmers markets for the freshest produce, improving her yoga practice, and working on her game of darts.
