Bailey is a South Bay native, who as a young child was fascinated with all things related to the ocean. This evolved into a passion for pursuing climate resilience efforts and making a positive impact on the natural world. Bailey earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has always been passionate about impact and service-oriented work, and has gained insightful experience organizing several community service projects with Rotary, and Rotaract; including beach-cleanups and habitat restoration events throughout the South Bay.
Bailey brings over 5 years of experience community outreach, especially for science programs. Starting off as an educator outreaching to underserved communities at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, to most recently as Director of STEM & Innovation at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. At BGCMLA, Bailey managed afterschool STEM programs impacting over 400 youth in and with several partners including: SpaceX, Lakers Youth Foundation, Team Liquid, McDonalds, and ThermoFisher Scientific.
Bailey is excited to bring her skillset in program management and combine it with her passion for protecting our LA watershed and coastline.
Bailey loves enjoying the outdoors as much as possible; camping, hiking, and stand-up paddleboarding.
