Help Us Stop Industrial Facilities from Polluting!

S.W.A.T (Storm Water Assessment Team) is a special project focused primarily on addressing pollution at the source. In an effort to stop industrial facilities from discharging harmful pollutants like zinc, mercury, oil and grease into our local waters, this project is on-call, investigative water sampling and is specifically geared towards supporting our litigation work.

Volunteers will be “on-call” for when it rains, which is when harmful pollutants from industrial facilities are discharged into our local rivers and the Santa Monica Bay. This unique project is an opportunity for you to work in the exciting and rewarding world of stormwater monitoring and collect valuable data to help curb industrial stormwater pollution. In order to participate in this project, volunteers must have reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and willingness to get wet and work under the cover of darkness.

To sign up, fill out volunteer form below (Water Quality Monitoring) and check out our calendar for upcoming S.W.A.T dates.
